The interview process consisted of five stages over four weeks:
Initial Recruiter Screen (30 minutes): Focused on my background, interest in Amazon, and high-level alignment with the role.
Phone Interview (60 minutes): A mix of behavioral and situational questions emphasizing Amazon's Leadership Principles, particularly Ownership, Customer Obsession, and Dive Deep.
Technical Interview (60 minutes): A deep dive into a program I managed, requiring detailed metrics, challenges faced, and resolution strategies.
On-site Interviews (4 rounds, 45 minutes each): These interviews were conducted by cross-functional team members. Each session focused on behavioral questions, leadership fit, and hypothetical problem-solving (e.g., scaling a program globally).
Final Bar Raiser Interview (60 minutes): This was the toughest round, with a senior leader challenging my ability to manage ambiguity and drive results under pressure.
The process tested my data-driven problem-solving, strategic thinking, and ability to deliver results while aligning with Amazon's principles.
