Amazon Software Development Engineer interview questions

Application Timeline – New Grad SDE 1 June 5, 2025 – Submitted application for the New Grad SDE 1 position. June 19, 2025 – Received coding assessment consisting of two Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) questions on HackerRank. July 1, 2025 – Received email notification of selection for interviews. August 6, 2025 – Attended three interview rounds: Round 1: Two DSA problems. Round 2: One DSA problem followed by situational and behavioral questions. Round 3 (Bar Raiser): Entirely situational and behavioral interview focused on Leadership Principles.

I had online assignment with 2 tasks to complete under 1 hour. After that I had a call with a recruiter asking me basic questions about data structures. After that I was invited to on-site interview. No phone screen. On-site loop consisted of 4 interviews (3 coding tasks and 1 system design). Coding tasks were of Medium LeetCode difficulty. Each interview had 1 behavioral question.
