I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Jan 2021
Interview
The software development manager process was primarily behavioral question based. I had a recruiter screening, manager discussion, and then a series of 5 discussions for the "on-site" final interview loop. All conversations were questions around experience / behavior that rolled up to the Amazon Leadership Principals. The system design wasn't too difficult and seemed deemphasized compared to the behavioral-based interviews.
