First step of the process was to take an online assessment test that lasted three to four hours. Coding and leadership skills were emphasized. Good experience overall and the fact that one can take the interview in the comfort of one's private space eliminates any jitters.
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Nov 2019
Interview
I applied online by uploading my resume to their website and the whole process took 7 weeks. The first part of the online assessment consisted of debugging different programs using C++. The second part involved a long coding portion and a shorter work styles assessment. The third and final part took the most time as it required me to answer questions in a simulated work environment followed by logical ability test.
After successfully completing the online assessment, I was then moved forward into the final interview stage of the process. I scheduled my time and had it confirmed about two days before it was to happen.
Amazon Chime was used to conduct the interview so there was a face-to-face connection the whole time. The first half was behavioral where the interviewer got to know me and how I respond to different situations. The second part then moved into the technical portion where we moved to LiveCode and was asked to solve a problem using knowledge from data structures and algorithms. I ended up solving the problem but not fully implementing it as we ran out of time. I thanked the interview for their time and left the session.
Overall the process was smooth with no problems receiving all three parts of the online assessment and then scheduling an interview. My particular interviewer was very kind and helpful throughout my entire interview.
Three part online assessment then final virtual interview. The process took two months over the fall of 2019. First part is debugging. Most problems can be solved by changing one symbol. Second part was two programming leetcode medium questions. Third part was a workplace sim.
