Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services in Sep 2022
Interview
I was contracted by a recruiter who asked me basic questions, and I passed to the second step, which was a phone interview with the recruiting manager. I didn't get a serious impression of the guy, and if he actually had an interest in my profile—bizarre interview.

Question 1
The manager asked me open end questions about the challenges of the specific industry the job was within and other high-level questions. The answer could have been anything and did not fit into the STAR format that AWS is pushing so hard.
Four one-hour behavioral interviews with employees from different departments, including the hiring manager, using Amazon STAR questions to assess past experiences and alignment with Amazon’s leadership principles through data-driven examples.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
The interview process was significantly delayed due to poor coordination and internal miscommunication within the HR team. It took several weeks to schedule what was described as a phone screen but turned out to be a virtual meeting via Chime. The interviewer appeared disengaged, made minimal eye contact, and asked few standard interview questions, giving the impression that the meeting was merely a formality. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and unproductive.
5 subsequent interviews on same day which can be quite time consuming in terms of preparation and development. Important to understand Amazon leadership principles and prepare accordingly. X y z
