Behavioral interview on Amazon leadership principles including relevant for managers. When did you have to pivot a strategy in the middle of the process? Tell me about a decision for which data and analysis weren’t sufficient to provide the right course and you had to rely on your judgment and instincts.
Give me two to three examples. They don’t have to be big strategic decisions – could be big or small.
1) HR screen going over work experience, expected salary etc.,
2) Online assessment:
· A Day in the Life
· Work Style Assessment
· Candidate Survey: Provide feedback after assessment completion
3) Interview with hiring manager (although for my case the hiring manager didn't show up and instead a team mate interviewed me. I wasn't informed of the change prior and she was late for 10 mins)
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2026
Interview
Online assessment was about prioritizing workflows / time management
Phone interview was with a junior member of the team, thought I did well
Was rejected post phone interview (maybe was never intended through)
