I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2022
Interview
30 minutes focused on technical skills and another 30 minutes on behavioral questions. During the behavioral portion, the interviewer expected responses to follow the STAR format, which stands for Situation, Task, Action, and Result, as this helps structure answers around specific examples demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills. Since the role was for program management, many of the questions were centered around process optimization and analytics, reflecting the responsibilities typical in this field. After the initial phone interview, the main interview consisted of four to five rounds, which were heavily focused on behavioral questions. Each round further explored my ability to manage programs effectively, optimize processes, and make data-driven decisions. This deeper dive into my leadership skills and experience with program management tools and strategies was key to the overall interview process.

Interview
Two screening phone interviews followed by a loop with five interviews in one day. Found it to be very efficient. The loop day was long but I preferred that to interviews spread out over several days.
