It's not really a difficult interview as much as it is to please the interviewers. Whoever said you don't necessarily need to code every coding problem fully but showing how you approach and come up with a solution will help you get past the interview is kidding themselves. Plus I thought my leadership principles stories were well framed in their suggested STAR format highlighting my achievements/contributions/lessons learnt effectively, but seems like that wasn't enough either. With 2/3 coding challenges completed to near perfection and 1 almost done but having described the remainder of the fixes to the satisfaction of the bar raiser, wasn't good enough for Amazon. As far as system design goes, I was asked a fairly simple 'parking system' design question and I thought it went great. But it seems the bar is extremely high now. Good luck to future candidates!
