Entire application process with Amex took closer to a month to complete. I completed an online application, and additionally took an online skills test which was an additional 40 min or so. So, I spent over an hour completing the application process online start to finish for a job that really shouldn't of demanded such a long and lengthy application process (starting pay adversited $14.40 per hour. Low, but better than no pay!) I didn't actually hear back from Amex that they were interested in me until almost a month later and did a phone, and then an in-person interview with 3 people. Unfortunately, these are more and more common, and with an average of 6 people nowadays competing for each job, more and more companies are using this approach to weed out the numerous applications received. For a job that basically deals with small business owners with the OPEN card and their billing issues/problems, this testing in my opinion wasn't necessary.
