I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at American Express (Phoenix, AZ) in Feb 2011
Interview
Staffing agency submitted my resume. A few days later I was called to schedule an interview to become one of seven contract instructional designers to work on a large project. I interviewed with the hiring manager, who felt my skills were better suited to another position in her department. I had a panel interview for the second position five days later. My qualifications for the second position were dead on perfect, and the final interviewer gave me the impression I'd be hearing from them shortly. I never heard back, and had to ask the staffing firm to follow up and get feedback.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Behavioral questions: Are you comfortable doing the same task repeatedly for the next three to six months? How would you handle having five different projects at once? Tell me about a time when you managed a situation where your customer was upset.
Hiring managers do not put enough effort into their jobs. A few seconds is all a candidate gets for consideration. Actually, it is not just this company, its everywhere. MAKE CHANGE!
