Interview
It's a long process, very thorough. It should have been a faster process. They may lose potential people that want to move on with career paths. Multiple interviews and background checks. Drug tested, but not for THC.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at American Express (New York, NY) in Aug 2025
Interview
3 rounds of interviews. 1st was with the hiring manager and it had basic behavior questions, some questions about my risk background and knowledge. 2nd was with the manager's college, more in depth questions about risk and how I approach risk, mostly behavioral nothing technical. 3rd and final interview with their boss. Purely a vibe check interview, very light hearted and friendly. More philosophical discussion about why amex, why this job, future plans and motivations.
