Interview
I submitted my resume online and after two weeks I was contacted by a recruiter. After a short interview with them, I had an in depth interview with a Senior Manager. I was then invited to American Express to meet with another Senior Manager and VP. In person interviews were 30 minutes long and one after the other at headquarters.
I reached out to the recruiter to inquire about the position after my interview. I never heard back and then received an automated email notifying me the position had gone to another candidate.

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at American Express (New York, NY) in Sep 2011
Interview
the meeting session was based on experience as well as goal achievement and where I could have done better (in hind sight) What are my expectations, am I available to travel and how much time - they look for 50%+ It was friendly, open formate with at time one person and at other times up to 4 people. They covered their (job) expectations and a brief overview on where AMEX is heading - all very positive.
