Interview was initially proper, started with 1) online meeting with hiring manager, 2) 2-hour face-to-face meeting, 3) another online meeting with overseas HQ and case study presentation. But the end was a huge disappointment because the reason for rejection was an internal transfer. The efforts spent wouldn't have equated the company's preference for someone transferring internally.
