The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at AppDynamics (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
AppD has an amazing HR team handling recruiting. I was contacted via LinkedIn for a role, had a 2 phone screens, an onsite day, 1 more phone interview, and an offer all within 2 weeks. HR was on top of every step and kept me updated. Everyone I interviewed with was super nice and it felt more like a conversation than an interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What was a project that you wish you had done better on?
Thank you so much for the review of our interview process, we pride ourselves on our efficiency and thoroughness of the process as a whole. We like to make our candidates feel comfortable, and our conversational decorum reflects just that. We are very excited to have you join the team!
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at AppDynamics in Jul 2016
Interview
Recruiter called me directly and setup the onsite and this for Bangalore location. The first round is technical interview but am not sure why interviewer started to ask why I want to leave my existing company instead of asking technical stuff when he is not a HR or Hiring Manager. So not interested to proceed due to immature interview culture and declined to answer further questions even though am aware which lead to complete the process in 30 min.

We're sorry to hear you had a negative experience with our interview process. Our company likes to have insight into professional history, which explains inquiry about your existing position. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review!
I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AppDynamics (Dallas, TX) in Apr 2016
Interview
Got an unsolicited connection request on LinkedIn from this company. They took me through an unstructured interview cycle with no rhyme or rhythm that consisted of meeting the sales team, the leadership team, and a research assignment. I invested multiple hours of my time in this process, which was clearly not being run well. One of the steps was a phone interview with someone a couple of levels up. This person never confirmed an interview time or duration, and didn't seem to care that he proposed a 7pm local time phone call for an interview that he didn't bother to confirm. I was left to wonder all the way up until the interview time whether it was actually happening or not. The interview did occur, but did not go well. I thought the interviewer was really unprofessional, and it soured me on the company. Weeks later, I got a rather condescending note from the company telling me "thanks, but no thanks".
