Linkedin recruiter for 30 mins -> hiring manager for 1 hr -> coding tech interview for 1 hr
then no further process
even though there is no offer, but Apple's people are all pretty nice
Overall terrible experience. Was mis-scheduled back to back in a different time zone than the interviewer by the same coordinator. When asked about interviewing for a certain level, was told "it was a stretch", despite having interviews for the same level at F, G, the other A, and U (which are all more senior according to levels.fyi).
For the phone interview, was asked 2 easy LeetCode questions. When solving question 1, the interviewer could not be convinced that I had the optimal solution despite prolonged discussions about the runtime and space complexity. They instead proposed a solution that had the same runtime but used more space. The discussion eventually lead to an attitude on the interviewer's side of "hey let's just move on." (Yes, I double checked the question on LeetCode following the interview to make sure I didn't accidentally miss anything. I was indeed correct about the runtime and space complexity of the approaches that were considered).

Question 1
Do you know how to calculate runtime and space complexity?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Apple
Interview
Got contacted by recruiter. Start with a coding test screening, followed by a coding interview on phone.
The screening test was a few very simple questions with a time limit of 1hr. After that recruiter schedule a phone interview with coderpad.
Asked to write an algorithm then start by asking the correctness of the algorithm and rigorous proof on each line of code. The interviewers didn't pay a lot of respect, trying to pressurize you by challenging your proof and asked trivial questions when you wanted to justify each step in the algorithm.
A pretty toxic part imo was that they tried to embarrass or intimidate you by making fun of your own statement. What they did was recapping your statement in a funny tone and asked if you even understood what you were saying which I think was quite toxic.
