I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Apple (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
Contacted by recruiter to initially review resume and position. Ask basic background information and determined if qualified for the position. Then discussed company and if the position may be a good fit. After that determination was made, the recruiter said he would contact the hiring manager and recommend a phone interview.
I was emailed with the hiring managers name and time he would be calling.
Hiring manager called and we discussed background, and other normal interviewing questions. After a fit was determined, he stated he would be reviewing a few other candidates and would then contact me if there was a in person interview scheduled. My understanding that it would be a half day process with peers and team member involvement in the face-to-face interviews.
I applied online. I interviewed at Apple (Cupertino, CA)
Interview
The interviewer was unprepared, showed up late, and acted very informally. They had no idea who they were interviewing and had not read my resume. Only want to hear what they/he/she wanted to hear, and it felt like they were just had a bad day.
Met with the recruiter and the hiring manager but unfortunately I was not able to get past that round. Recruiter did say they will try to reach out again in the future so crossing my fingers I get another chance.
I had 5 interviews, these were with the recruiter, my line manager, line manager's peer, senior leader, then finally my manager's manager. In my experience, the interviews were mostly pretty simple.
