Apple Sale Assistant interview questions

I recieved a letter to interview in July 2022 The second interview was in an October 22. I was told I got the job but they were waiting for my contract to go live. I emailed them in November to ask if there was any update to my application and they told me to be wait a few weeks and be patient. I sent another email in December and I didn’t get a response. In January I called the Apple Store and asked them for an update and they said they would get back to me. A month later, I got an email which thanked me for my patience and said they don’t have any opportunities for me at the moment. I wish I was told this sooner as I when I was told I got the job I waited 4 months to be told that no opportunity was available. It’s not nice to get somebody’s hopes up after telling them they got the job. I would have preferred clarity and better communication.
