Application Submission
Fellows typically apply through a centralized portal (e.g., RPIF) or directly through company job postings. Materials usually include:
CV/resume
Letter of intent
Transcript (unofficial is often acceptable initially)
Letters of recommendation (some programs request these later)
Initial Screening Interview
Selected candidates are invited for a first-round interview, usually virtual, to assess general fit and communication skills. Expect behavioral questions and "Why this fellowship?" type of questions.
Functional Area Interview(s)
If you advance, you'll have 1–3 interviews with specific departments (e.g., medical affairs, marketing, regulatory, clinical development). These can be:
One-on-one or panel format
Include case questions or role-specific scenarios
Focused on your interest and fit for the team
Final Round Interviews / Matching Process
Depending on the program, you may:
Have a final interview round with leadership or cross-functional teams
Enter a matching or ranking process, especially in RPIF, where both candidates and companies rank preferences
Offer Stage
Offers may be extended shortly after final interviews or match announcements. You're typically given a short window (24–48 hours) to accept.
