It took me a month and a half door-to-door to learn that they don't hire for this position anymore. The hiring manager had a standard screening call with me - nothing extraordinary except for their line was really bad and I struggled to follow them as they spoke. After that they invited me for a face-to-face interview with a function lead at their local office.
I prepared for a behavioral/technical interview, but instead they chose to go through every bit of my resume and bio, at times asking intrusive personal questions. The interviewers didn't seem interested in building a proper rapport; they have also never given me a chance to touch upon my relevant skills. Contrary to other Glassdoor reviews , my interview was not engaging or smooth at all. It was very humid and sticky in the meeting room.
I was then asked to do a test assignment (a short article and a ppt), which I completed to a deadline. The HR manager said they would get in touch with a feedback 'shortly'. Two weeks later, I've got an email saying the selection results would be announced 'this week' (it was midweek). Nothing had happened though. One week after, I get a short auto generated email from a job board where I applied. It said the vacancy in question was closed and that I was 'welcome to subscribe to their future job openings'. Sadly, no formal feedback or follow-up email after all those weeks.
