I applied online. I interviewed at BDO (New York, NY)
Interview
Applied for an internship through the company website. Was contacted couple of weeks later and set up a phone interview where I was offered an opportunity for a full time position. Couple of days later, was invited for an in house interview with 3 employees in 30 minute intervals. Everyone was laid back and the interview was conversational. It was one of the more laid back interviews I had.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly behavioral with some questions about my work experience. Gave me a lot of situational questions, "what would you do if...."
Also asked me my 3 strengths and 3 weaknesses.
A short interview asking questions on why you want to be an auditor without technical questions. The audit partner then goes on to explain the career path in the company and the bond
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BDO (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2014
Interview
I applied via career website of my university by submitting resume, and also applying via their website. I was selected for the on-campus interview. After that, I received a message within a week that I was invited for an office interview. There were three interviews with partner and managers back-to-back, all one-on-one. It sounds like nerve-taking but the flow of the conversation was smooth, and it was more like walk-through with my resume, my past experiences, my strengths and weaknesses, and my goals etc. There was a lunch session with the audit associates after interviews, which was more relaxed and friendly. I got the verbal confirmation within three hours after all these were done.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"What are your weaknesses?" was the most difficult but not so unexpected question. I would recommend everyone to be prepared to answer this question before any interview.
