I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bain & Company (Chicago, IL) in Sep 2012
Interview
Applied on campus and there was significant help given for case prep. The first few cases tend to be standard case questions that they conduct quite well. Unlike some competitors they are't actively trying to be unhelpful, or worse, trying to make you fail. Final round is a written case.

Question 1
Why Bain? Why consulting? Standard case questions with a lot of charts & data.
Ghosted by HR for Malaysia office after interviewing 3 rounds. Interviewed by associate, senior associate and partner. Typical consulting case questions. Not too difficult and employees were relatively personable. Would've appreciated better communication from the HR team instead of simple ghosting. do better
I applied online and got a online assessment after ~1 week. I completed the online test but I haven't heard back since then. The timeline is a bit uncertain to me.
First round case interviews. Got standard questions about profitability and market entry. IMO the most difficult part was reading complex charts and distilling the key insights with time pressure. There was little behavioral.
