I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bain & Company
Interview
The interview experience was very mixed. For an HR position in this company, I had 10 rounds out of which 8 were mostly centered on checking my culture fit. There was a background check done as well(after 6 rounds). When they asked for a background check they even gave me a tentative deadline for joining the company and asked for references from my current company as well(which thankfully I did not give). Generally, a background check would be the last hurdle and then maybe 1 chat with a Senior Leader but I had 4 more rounds. In those rounds, there were some previous interviewees and an interview with the incumbent as well. But after the extra 4 rounds, I was told that they cannot hire me due to "culture fit". The people were warm but the questions asked by them were intrusive. In my view, the process followed and the indecisiveness of the company left a bad taste.

Question 1
Apart from the usual - How would you build trust with your team members? What is the best advice you have gotten and given? Choosing between negatives - too sensitive or not sensitive at all, too direct or not direct at all.. An inspiring moment in life, MBTI personality type, what my partner advises me on most - were some among many more. There were also some weird questions about who I go to lunch with generally!
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Bain & Company (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Aug 2018
Interview
I got the call for interview for "dot net developer" positionvia a consultancy multiple times.
The interview was scheduled on a friday.
When.i reached the venue they asked me to wait in a brainstorming room (conference room)
I sat there for around half hour. After which a lady came .
She started with sql questions. And then went on it for half hour. I asked some of them.
Then she asked me questions on c# and dot net.
I answered each one of them.
Then she said there will be an machine test and left.
So i waited there for 2.5 hours (i am not kidding)
After 2.5 hours, i called the HR on the number from which she called me in the morning. She said okay wait let me check.
A little later she came and told me that i was not selected.
Totally unprofessional not going there again .
They were more interested in sql .but JD mentioned dot net primary.
They need experts professional.
But they have no value for other's time.
Advice to you. If you get a call don't go. Go for some other company instead.

Very difficult. Overemphasize on the case process. There's a small portion about your experiences but it's mostly about the case interview process. Nail that and you get the job, it really is about that
