I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at BairesDev (Montevideo) in Jan 2026
Interview
The interview with Gabriela was very enjoyable and relaxed. She made me feel at ease and didn't ask any awkward questions. She was friendly throughout. From a job perspective, she clearly explained the company at a high level, how it is structured, and the role for which the interview was being conducted.

Question 1
I am not clear or sure on what is being requested here. I have been asked about where I live, my current job, role, benefits, salary expectations, whether I am willing to travel for work, passport and visa status, among other things.

Interview
Overall, the interview conversations themselves were positive, but the process felt disorganized and ultimately frustrating.
I was initially contacted by a recruiter for a role that wasn’t publicly posted, which was encouraging. That recruiter passed me to another recruiter, and that conversation went well. I then completed a ~2-hour online assessment. Shortly after, I received an automated rejection email that was later acknowledged as being sent in error.
From there, I was passed to yet another recruiter and had a conversation with senior management. That discussion went well, and I received positive verbal feedback, which made me excited to continue the process.
A few days later, however, I received a generic rejection email with no context. I followed up requesting feedback but never received a response.
Being passed between multiple recruiters added unnecessary complexity and confusion to the process. While some of the interview questions were a bit out of left field, I did appreciate that they were designed to test structured thinking and problem-solving, and I was genuinely interested in continuing the conversation.
Unfortunately, the lack of follow-through and feedback after multiple positive interactions made the ending feel abrupt and impersonal.
Advice to Management:
Streamline recruiter handoffs, ensure consistent communication, and provide feedback—especially after senior-level interviews.
