Interview was straight forward. The interviewer was on time. It was conducted on WebEx. The interviewer first asked me "tell me about yourself" question. Then the interview was based on my resume. Basically I had to explain my projects and my role in internships. Later the core values based question were asked which were RAISES.

I applied online. I interviewed at Barclays (Pune) in Jul 2021
Interview
Normally the process is
1) HR gets in touch with you asks all the details pertaining to the position, CTC, Expected CTC etc.
2) Then if that goes well, there are rounds with panels
3) The if the rounds are cleared then again to HR/Manager for final round.
Don't know about Barclays process but following process was followed when me
1) BA/team member gave me a call and got in touch with me, scheduled the interview(1st round)
2) 2nd round was with architect, this was a round which was on the 5 values of Barclays.
3) Cleared the 2 rounds as well. Then HR contact me and asks me the expected CTC and current. Then I get to know that the position they were looking had a certain budget and cannot pay the excepted CTC. I had around 9+ years of experience.
Then if this was the case and they had a budget why they went ahead with 2 rounds? Why candidates time was wasted to know in the HR round that they WERE LOOKING for someone with a certain experience and with a certain budget. If the CTC questions were asked initially, time could have been saved and effort.
Such a waste of time which went in prep work and the rounds that happened. Surely not expected from someone like BARCLAYS
