I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Barclays (London, England)
Interview
Telephone interview. Advised that my day rate was too high but I was prepared to be flexible for the right role. Second face to face interview at 1 CP. Arrived at 14.30 - two hours ahead of the scheduled time. Was shocked to see a huge two story 'pub' on the roundabout directly in front of 1 CP full of Barclays employees drinking alcohol - the place was full when I arrived and full when I left - this was mid week!
I have banked with Barclays for 20 + years (mortgage, savings, personal and business) and the staff on the front line are exceptional.
However, Corporate are completely different, sitting in their 'ivory tower' - clearly the lessons that should have been learnt from the Banking crisis in 2008 have had no impact whatsoever.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Barclays (New York, NY) in Oct 2017
Interview
One behavioral interview over the phone that went great. Then final interview in NYC with four rounds of different interviewers. Each interviewer had their own "thing." One was the case giver but it was a really easy case that he walked you through.
