Barclays interview questions

The interview consisted of i) a phone screen probing on relevant work experience etc. ii)face-to-face with the hiring manager and team going into further depth on relevant experience and then a case comparing credit card products based on core KPIs- was fairly simple for those with credit card experience. Next step was to propose a potential offer and support it with expected KPIs iii)2nd visit to Northampton booked at very short notice even though I was explicit I was onvacation at that time they pushed that it was time sensitive, so booked the journey en route back to my home city and had no suit etc. Interview was predominantly behavioural with the senior directors of the function. Interestingly, prior to the meeeting the hiring manager gave me some prep on what to expect and focus on- hiring manager was obviously advocating for me. Never got compensation for the travelling to the interview (x2)- eventually stoped pursuing (and wrote it off as losses)

Met Barclays Capital at the Boston Career forum applying for a job in Japan. Went to the Barclays Capital booth, presented my resume and was given 2 interviews on the spot. One in Japanese with senior equity research managment and one in english with a research associate. The next day I was contacted again and invited out to dinner with members of the US equity reseach team. Offer for the job came the next day. Barcap employees seemed very nice and I was impressed by their growth strategy.
