I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Barclays (Chennai) in Sep 2024
Interview
The interview process began with an on-campus Online Assessment (OA). The OA consisted of MCQs based on C programming, along with coding questions, a Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) problem, and an SQL-based question. The overall difficulty level was moderate. I was able to solve the SQL question correctly and passed 8 test cases in the DSA problem.
After clearing the OA, I proceeded to the technical interview round, where questions focused on core computer science fundamentals, problem-solving, and concepts related to programming, DSA, and databases. The interviewer also discussed my projects and assessed my approach to writing clean and efficient solutions.
The final round was a behavioral interview, which evaluated my communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving mindset, and how I handle challenges and learning in real-world scenarios.
Overall, the process was well-structured and tested both technical competence and behavioral fit.

Question 1
They mainly focused on my problem-solving approach, especially how I analyzed a DSA problem and optimized the solution, along with basic SQL queries.

Interview
I just completed the assessment and encountered several bugs that impacted my ability to finish it as intended. I wanted to flag this and ask if there is any flexibility or guidance on next steps.

I applied online. I interviewed at Barclays (Glasgow, Schottland)
Interview
Interview process consisted of behavioural questions, then hackerrank leetcode-style questions, then an in-person assessment centre.
Behaviour questions were standard.
Leetcode-style were at easy and medium difficulty.
In-person assessment centre consisted of two separate interviews. Both interviews asked questions relating to times I had worked with large datasets, and how I would approach things in a privacy and security oriented way. At the end I was asked a tricky system design question that I don't think I successfully answered.
