Walked inside, buzzed the receptionist, no answer, got an employee to let me in and waited for the hiring manager. Had a decent interview, pretty relaxed and talked to two employees separately after taking a two page test on my knowledge. After talking with them they told me they would call me later. I was offered the position on the 16th of May and they gave me a start date of June 5th. I was interviewing with other companies and needed to find a place to stay so I asked the hiring manager if I could have an extension on the offer. They accepted, the extension however was a week later, not very long to find a place in Ann Arbor on a $17/hr paycheck. My options were limited and I finally found a place but it wasn't that great. I got a call about the new offer letter and asked about relocation benefits since I live in the U.P. and they told me to talk to H.R. and forwarded my call. After talking with them they told me to talk to the original hiring manager who was out that day who I planned on talking to the next day.
Later that night at around 10:00 P.M. I received an email saying that they were rescinding my offer for asking for an extension and negotiating my salary (In reality I was just trying to make ends meet so I could live more comfortably and not have to worry about student loans on top of a crappy apartment).
Do not work for this company if they treat people like this, they have high turnover for a reason. They don't pay their employees enough and prey on new graduates with their "take it or leave it" attitude.
