The interview process took just under 2 weeks, throughout 4 different sessions. Started off with a brief call with the hiring manager, spoke about the role as well as past experience. After that, the hiring manager scheduled a phone call with the team manager. He asked questions regarding basic problem solving and past experiences. After that, they gave to a small coding challenge to do in golang, azure, docker & grpc. This coding challenge required full test coverage in unit & functional tests and took about 3 1/2 hours. After I handed in the coding exercise, they scheduled an on-site interview that took around 3 hours. During this on-site interview, I once again met with the team manager where he asked me another set of basic technical and experience questions. After which I had about an hour and a half to implement another feature into my coding exercise, with one of the senior engineers on the team, which I did complete just outside of the allotted time. After about a week or so I sent the hiring manager an email, in which I got a response of "the team has decided not to move forward with your candidacy at this time. I’ll keep you in mind should another more appropriate role become available".
