      Inventory Supervisor Interview

      Sep 24, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Chicago, IL
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2014

      Interview

The interview was very easy and relaxed. It was a one on one interview with just the store manager. The manager gave off a really relaxed vibe which put me at ease fairly quickly.

      Interview

Online application. Called a week later to set up interview. Arrived at store 5 minutes early, only to wait a hour after appointment for a 30 minute interview. Totally un-professional. Decided then wasn't going to accept offer even if presented.

      Feb 22, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Best Buy

      Interview

The process was overall very fast. I applied, got a call within 48 hours and scheduled an interview for the same week. The phone screening was very brief and concise, asked me if i was eligible to work 3rd shift and weekends on occasion. The interview itself started a little later than scheduled, but was held directly with the department supervisor. The interview was very relaxed and fairly short. We talked about previous jobs and how they relate to this job, discussed minimal qualifications for the job and gave a brief overview of responsibilities and expectations of the position. Aside from the discussion the manager read general "interview questions" off a sheet documented my responses.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Several of the questions asked were typical interview questions such as "why do you want this position?", "what challenges do you foresee overcoming in this position?" and even a couple scenario questions like "you see two employees gossiping about another, how do you address this situation?" There was one in particular that stood out to me and it pertained along the lines of "In this position, how would you raise public interest and community inclusion for the company and their customers?"
