Good professional interview, one phone screen + one in person with the GM. GM was laid back and chill, mostly looking to see if you were a culture fit. There were a few product related questions to see which department you'd best fit into.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Best Buy in Jan 2010
Interview
It started with the standard online application. From there it takes you to this 45-60 minute online personality assessment that asks you questions about how you feel about yourself as well as situational questions. If you score high enough on that, you get called in for an interview with the supervisor of the department you are applying for. He or she ask you the standard interview questions like why best buy or what would you do if someone stole $1 from the register...etc. If you pass that then you get a final interview with the store manager who goes over your past experience, asks you some standard interview questions, and goes over your salary if the interview went well.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What would you do if your best friend at the store stole $1 from the register to buy a soda?
They just look for outgoing and persistent you including knowledge in tech. They want to know what you would do in certain situations and whether or not those choices were the best outcome.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Montreal, QC) in Nov 2018
Interview
I had the interview with the department manager and HR. They were friendly and easygoing. They asked me about my background experience and education, and the reasons i want to work for Bestbuy. Then they asked about skills in sales and languages i speak.
