I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Best Buy (Fort Collins, CO) in Oct 2011
Interview
The interview process was rather simple and the questions revolved around basic computer knowledge as well as the steps an individual would take while troubleshooting an issue. The interview wasn't so much technical as it was probing at problem solving skills. They also look at the individuals personality to see if they would be a good fit for their "ecosystem" of employees.

I applied online. I interviewed at Best Buy (Fargo, ND) in Aug 2025
Interview
Reached out via phone and setup an interview at the office. The interview was polite and what you would expect, one or two questions on sales, tell me about yourself and then a focus on technical proficiency. Question and answer format.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Explain a situation when you had to de-escalate a tense situation and what the result was?
The first interview was pretty informal, more so of getting to know you. Then, it got deeper as to job expectations, pay, benefits, etc. It was pleasant and I didn’t feel stressed out.

Interview
Interview is fine. Video interview first (remember to submit it), followed by an in-person interview if they are interested. General questions IE why are you applying, do you have any prior experience working on a team, etc.
