The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Best Buy in Sep 2010
Interview
The initial contact with the company was giving my resume to a friend who got me the interview. The manager trusted her judgement and gave me a chance for an interview. The interview was in the admin office which was pretty cramped and a little strange since the store wasn't open at the time. The interview could have taken place in the break room. It was a fairly easy interview with just a few questions aimed mostly to get to know me more than to learn about my education or previous experience.

Question 1
What would you say if you knew a customer was wrong but wouldn't admit it?

Interview
Met initially with department manager, who originally phoned me to schedule. He was enthusiastic about my background and skills and concluded that he would recommend to district manager to meet with me and hire. After scheduling conflicts (district manager called to reschedule once), we met. He took one look at me (I'm male, 56 years of age) and then began asking questions, without looking up from his PDA.
Never was given an offer. Received rejection by e-mail six weeks later.
