I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Best Buy in Jun 2012
Interview
I filled out the application online for a local branch, and was called about 2 weeks later by a branch about 30 miles away. When they called, they asked if I was willing to have a phone interview, and I said yes, and had a short phone interview then. At the end of the call (which only lasted about 5 mins), I was set up to interview with the Geek Squad manager a few days later. At this interview, I was asked basic interview questions (Why do you want to work here? Describe a situation where you gave exceptional customer service. Etc) and a few Geek Squad specific questions. A little over a week later I recieved a call to come in and interview one final time with the General Manager. This interview had the same process as the last one, and I was offered the job at the end of it.

Interview
Had to make multiple calls, ask my GM to contact store. Was signed up for phone interview, changed to 1:1 last minute. Drove 2 hours to location for 1:1 interview, other applicant was an hour late. Had to wait with no explanation. Very disorganized.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (Louisville, KY) in Mar 2012
Interview
After missing the call for the phone interview, i decided to go into the store to try to be interviewed on the spot. the store manager was extremley busy that day so they scheduled me for a 1:1 interview the next day (so i basically skipped the phone interview). I showed up for the interview 10min early but apparently they forgot about me so i wasnt interviewed until about 40min later. The 1:1 interview with the manager went very well. She was very laid back and was a very comfortable person to talk to She asked me a lot of situational questions involving working with others. She then scheduled me for second interview with the GM about a week later since he was on vacation. Once again i showed up early and once again i was interviewed about 20-30min late. The GM interview was a lot more difficult because he was an all business type of guy. He asked me about 10 questions all about my personality. After all his questions he offered me a job on the spot for a cashier instead of a saled associate but i was fine with that and accepted.
