I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (Fort Myers, FL) in Jul 2011
Interview
Applied online on 6/22. On 6/26 received a call to go in for a "job fair." at best buy. The job fair was held on 6/27. The job fair was more like a group interview. They asked me my name and why I wanted to work there. As soon as I left, I received a call from the recruiter, Amy, to come back that day for my 1st and 2nd interview. The 1st interview was with her and the 2nd interview was with a manager. They asked situational questions. ( Tell me a time when you had to go the extra mile for the customer?) After the 2nd interview, I was told that I would need to be scheduled for the the 3rd interview with the GM. On 7/1, I had an interview with the GM. During that interview, he asked more questions about why I wanted to work for best buy. The interview went really well and he told me that I am hired depending on the drug test and background check. He then handed me a few papers (drug testing papers and a offer letter). I was told that I would be hired at 8.50 an hour. I took my drug test on 7/5. on 7/10, I received a call from the recruiter telling me that the background and drug screening came out clear and that I start orientation on 7/12. I am so excited.

Question 1
What would you do if you saw an employee stealing?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Best Buy (Pasadena, TX) in Jul 2011
Interview
I applied for this job online at certain location and when I got a call from the HR about an interview they sent me to a store that I didn't apply for. This still didn't seem like a problem though because I really wanted a job working around computers. Walking into the store for the interview the employees seemed nice and the work environment seemed like a good one. The managers were a little behind on interview so I had a chance to review my good answers to any question asked. When I met the manager I shook his hand firmly like an person wanting a job should do. I came in and he seemed relaxed at the time. He handed me a paper to sign off on an interview, which I never have seen before but I initialed like I am supposed to do. Then it was down to business with the questions, so upon questioning I remained eye contact with him. During questioning he seemed more nervous than me. He was jumpy and didn't remain eye contact with me and asked me the same question in different wording several times. He asked me questions and to elaborate and I did, but he never marked down my full response. I showed him a CCNA Course completion document and my resume along with my graduation date from school and he looked like he really didn't want someone with this much skills in computers. Bottom line if you are a good computer trouble shooter don't waiste your time this job is more for a sales rep.

Question 1
Name one time in your life when you have let someone down.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (Burnaby, BC) in Jun 2011
Interview
I first received a phone call from the HR representative. This phone call was a pre-screen interview. Afterward our conversation she deemed I would be a good candidate to come in for a 1 to 1 interview with one of the senior managers. I went into the corporate office one week later and had a very straightforward interview which lasted one hour. The questions were aimed at determining my competency and skill level. I got along well with the interviewer. I was asked to hand in a mini-project which would demonstrate my abilities. After submitting that assignment, I received another phone call to come in again to meet with the National Manager. That interview took place about a week later, but didn't seem to go as well. The interviewer suggested that I was not cut out for the position. So, I assumed that was the end of any opportunity. However, a couple of weeks later I received a voicemail from the HR representative telling me that they were still in the process of making a decision and that I was still in "the mix" and that she would let me know of the next steps as the process went on. It's been about a month since that voicemail and I haven't heard anything back.
