I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Best Buy (Tinley Park, IL) in Apr 2011
Interview
I applied to Best Buy in Tinley Park, IL online a few weeks ago. A lady from the HR department from that particular store phone me back. She asked a few questions and told me I should come in a few days after for an interview with the store manager after our phone intake was finished. Upon getting to the store I waited about 20 minutes and a substitute for the manager, an "associate", interviewed me in the Magnolia room. He was polite, personable, knowledgeable, and answered anything I had to ask. He asked me a series of nine questions which I answered. I was then told I would be contacted to come bak to see the GM if I was selected for the next round of interviews.

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Best Buy (Eden Prairie, MN) in May 2010
Interview
I applied online, and I got a phone call just a few days later. The phone call is the first step of the interview, although I've never heard of anyone failing at that stage. During the interview I was informed that there would be one more interview before I was hired. I never got to that third interview, never heard back.
