I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (Aberdeen, MD) in Aug 2016
Interview
First you interview with your department lead then if they like you they'll schedule you an interview with the general manager. My interview with my department head was more questions about how you deal with peer pressure and the interview with the general manager was more laid back and be basically wanted to know my character

Question 1
Describe a situation where a customer was not happy and what did you do to fix it?
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Calgary, AB) in Nov 2016
Interview
I dropped off my resume and the next day I got a call, but missed it because I was on another call. Called them back, had my phone interview and agreed to an interview the next day.
Person interviewing me was nice and did not put any unnecessary pressure on me. I answered all the questions as best as I could and the interviewer like me enough that he pulled the GM to ask a few more questions then I was given an offer.

Question 1
When did you go above and beyond what was expected of you?
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Guelph, ON) in Mar 2015
Interview
Interview was mostly based on behaviours over knowledge. Basically it seemed like they were trying to see if I was personable and easy to talk to. At the time of my hire the store was just opening so the interview process was very rushed. I have heard now it is more inclusive on knowledge of the products in the store.
