I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Best Buy (Avon, IN) in Mar 2013
Interview
Phone interview, brief interview with assistant manager, final interview with the GM John Hurley. He by far is one of the most pleasant people to interview for. I actually got asked to join the customer service/geek squad field vs cashier/customer service due to my answers in the final interview. Anyone can sound good on paper , i liked how i was put on spot in person to answer various scenario questions as well as my knowledge and ability to learn.

Question 1
What do you think you should be paid for this position?
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Best Buy (Tucson, AZ) in Sep 2014
Interview
The process is kind of silly, to be honest. 3 Interviews for a cashier job. (1 on the phone, 2 in person) At least it was one on one, not a group. Just the same usual questions they always ask for customer service people.

Question 1
Why do you want to work with us?
Was there ever a time you had to deal with a difficult customer, what did you do, etc.
Do you believe in teamwork?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Best Buy in Nov 2011
Interview
Regular process. Nothing crazy in depth though. There was two interviews and then an orientation with the general manager once you passed those. The orientation was simple and helped give you a basic understanding of all the store happenings.
