Interview
Applied online, got a callback about a day later. My interview was in the front office with a supervisor. The GM (although I had no idea that's who he was) sat in on the interview. I originally applied for a cashier position. Pretty standard questions such as what makes you want to work for best buy, what are you interests, what's your availability like, what makes you think you would be suited to this job?
I mentioned that I was interested in video games, and the GM interrupted to ask why I hadn't applied for a gaming sales position. My interview with the supervisor was essentially cut short; the GM had taken an interest in me and wanted to switch my application from cashier to sales. He then conducted a super short second interview, basically just explaining what the job would be like. He offered me the job on the spot assuming that I would pass the background check/drug test. I did.
Overall, very casual and quick interview. Both my supervisor and GM are extraordinarily nice people.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They were very standard questions. Nothing too unexpected.

Interview
There was a phone interview, which was a pretty informal affair. That was followed by two in-store interviews, one with a section manager and the other with the store manager. Be warned, if you apply online, they will not print out a version of your resume. They will also ask you questions that have been answered many times before (both in the online application and in the other interviews). All in all it seemed relatively disorganized. They were also interviewing for a position that was only tentatively available (they said that they were looking to maybe hire someone, but were not sure that they would).

Question 1
The manager's "question he always asked" was "Why should I hire you, what makes you special?".

Interview
Basic interview, simple selling questions. Be yourself, if they dont like you for that its not worth your time. Be creative with your answers if you really want the job.
