I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy
Interview
I applied online and completed a personality test. I was called about a week later and invited for an interview. I had an interview with one of the managers, which was very easy and just consisted of common sense questions. A few days later I was called for a final interview with the general manager. All he asked was what I thought should happen to an employee who was stealing. I was sent to do a drug test and was called a few days later to start.

Question 1
What do you think the consequences should be for an employee caught stealing a cd?
Was asked about former employers, for how long I'd been at those companies and why I was applying for the job. Guy I talked to seemed nice enough and gave me information about Best buy

I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Tennessee City, TN)
Interview
I got hired almost 7 years ago, and I have been promoted several times since then. I know the interview process has changed quite a bit (as I am in a position where I perform interviews now), but it's still pretty cut and dry. Questions are fairly consistent across retail for interviews, particularly for sales associates. The questions always fall back to living or not living the company values, so just know those before going into an interview. My personal interview was short and to the point. I had a lot of retail experience beforehand and they already knew my work history, so it was basically clarification and asking "Tell me about a time when ..." questions.

Question 1
ALWAYS be prepared - for Best Buy or any other retail outlet - about a Loss Prevention question, such as "If you saw a co-worker stealing, what would you do?" Pretty easy question to answer for most people, but just be prepared.
