I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Portage, MI) in Aug 2009
Interview
After filling out the computer work ( personality test, personal info..etc), the first interview consisted of a basic Q&A with: "If a customer was disappointed in a product, how would you respond?"....."What was a bad shopping experience you had?"......"why Best Buy?".
Second interview was with the GM of the store.........same process and pretty much the same questions, although he did review my resume a little more. Pretty straight forward for a part time job.

Interview
It was a phone interview, I first missed the call since my cell phone battery was died out one me before I can answer the phone. I called back immediately once my battery charged. I told the manager i missed their phone called and apologize on top of that. He said someone will call back in few minutes.(It took a half hour) I realize that my phone was vibrating in my pocket I missed the call again but called back once I missed it apologize again. I wasn't prepared for a phone interview it came at out of no where. I given a series of question of my past job occupations. Then give questions of my availability and why I wanted the job? I told him I'm heavily looking for work and really want the job. He asked me what department i would like to work ?i told him that I'm available in any job setting they would like to put me. However, i told him that i would like to work with the computer department. Then he asked what would do if a customer wanted to purchase a computer? (can't remember answer too nervous) Then he asked what would you do if a customer didn't know about computers? I told him that i'll ask what price range are they looking to afford. My initial answer should have been "I WOULD TEACH THEM WHAT A COMPUTER IS AND WHAT IT DOES". He said he will call me for an interview as of today(8/23/2009) It has been several days and I've still haven't received a phone call.
