The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (Oklahoma City, OK) in Jun 2010
Interview
Went in after applying for three different positions. I was talking with the Warehouse manager because I applied for Asset Protection. He said I would do better in sales so I had another interview which was moved back 3 days because they scheduled me during a conference the final interview guy was at. After getting at my final interview 15 minutes early, I waited a total of 45 minutes. The hiring guy was doing 8 interviews a day for the day I went and the next day. Said he would call me later the next evening and tell me if I got the job. 16 applicants - 4 positions. Wish me luck :/

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Houston, TX) in Jun 2010
Interview
I applied for best buy online a few weeks before I got a call from a nice women asking basic questions about how much did I want to work for best buy. After that, I went into a group interview the next day where 2 store supurvisors asked various open ended questions. Later that day, I got a call for an interview the next day where I met with a store manager. The manager asked more detailed questions about what areas (in the store) I'm most familiar with. Overall easy process

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Best Buy (Mansfield, OH) in Oct 2009
Interview
Applied online through Bestbuy.com website. Application was standard: Personal info, education, skills, references, etc. There was a small personality test after filling out the application. Within 3 days I recieved a phone call and scheduled an interview for the following week. First interview consisted of meeting with an assistant manager and was followed with a meeting of the GM 3 days later. Meetings with both managers consisted of questions about certain skills relating to technological background and also communication skills. What managers look for in a sales specialist are: cool temperament (not easily angered), friendly personality, very team oriented, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
