I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Ōita-shi) in Oct 2018
Interview
First round: Pre-recorded video interview.
There are three questions (one in English and the other two in Japanese). I think the company mainly tests your language skills since the questions were relatively simple and that was just the first round.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Tokio) in Oct 2018
Interview
I applied this position through a recruiter. It started with a phone interview, which takes around 30 minutes. The interviewer mostly asked questions about introducing myself (what did you do so far, what's your interest, etc). Then, I got an offer for second interview in around 2 weeks. The interviewers were one from analytics, and one from sales. This was time I explained my interest in Bloomberg, what's my career goals, and was asked to demonstrate my ability for sales. The interviewer from sales division told me to persuade her to watch soccer game, instead of selling anything. A week later, I received an offer to take third interview. Team leader and manager from analytics department were the interviewers.
They asked me to explain a recent finance news, and little bit of finance related news. Now, I'm waiting an offer to take the last interview.

Question 1
Q: what is a recent finance news that you are interested in?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg
Interview
Very basic online recorded interview then came with a brief call with the HR. Then you have a info session prior to your next round with team leads. They bascially lost interests on me when they thought I was not motivated enough for the company, which i might give them a false impression that I could do this sort of work anywhere at anycompany. They cut the interview immediately, which kinda disappointed me a bit, since you expect you would go through at least the entire interview. One interviewr is really nice, the other one was kinda harsh and always disputed on your responces. That is fine by me probably they wanna play this good cop bad cop trick. Fairly speaking, the interview is okayish, they would challenge you according to what you have said previously but sometimes they show a bit condescending attitude. It is very important to demonstrate why you really want to work for THIS firm. No technical questions just normal behaviour questions, you just have to say what they really want to hear, be specific and less generic.
