I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bloomberg in Oct 2011
Interview
I talked to them at their career fair booth. (They had Rubik's Cubes.) They conducted an initial 15-minute onsite screening interview with relatively challenging low-level questions. If that went well, they had more in-depth 45-minute interviews later that same day.
They came back on campus a few weeks later for another round of three interviews, after which they told me I had an offer right away.
