Had 45 min telephone interview, questions about my background, motivations, finance, market knowledge, interest in sales and customer service, company - culture and its products.
Then met with Analytics Manager and got an offer
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Sydney) in Jul 2015
Interview
Interviewers were professional and friendly. Biggest downfall was their time management. Process wasn't efficient and there were many repetitive interviews. Had to follow up after 3 weeks to confirm that i got offered the job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why Bloomberg? Why should we hire you? Basic financial knowledge questions and current affairs
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Hongkong) in May 2015
Interview
I applied online and got an invitation for a phone call after 2 weeks (since I wasn't in Hong Kong). They asked me any preferrable time and date for the call, so I said I'm available for 9-12pm for the next week. However, my interview date got scheduled 3 weeks later at 5pm. (wasn't sure what's the point of asking the preferred date/time then). The interviewer was really nice and kind though. Overall it was a good experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The first question was a brief self-introduction. I mentioned several skills that I learned from my previous internship experiences, and the interviewer wanted specific examples of each skillset I've listed and how can they be applied to this particular position.
One question I got stuck was "Was there any innovative idea that you've suggested during your previous work?". I wasn't sure of what type of innovative ideas he wanted - if it should be related to the finance or not, etc.
