3 rounds, phone screen (regular leetcode), tech interview (2 interviews), hr + manager (manager was hardest with system design, behavioural and some other stuff as well). Interviews were well structured and in person.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (London, England) in Oct 2025
Interview
I gave this Bloomberg interview for a Senior Software Engineer role. I chose Bloomberg over FAANG as I expected it would give importance to C++/low-latency programming skills and my past experience. But to my surprise, I was asked just one unpopular LeetCode question (pun intended) and a system design question at a junior DevOps level. Rejected straight away. It just weighs whether I memorized a LeetCode problem and can bluff through a regular system design. I had to withdraw myself, as I will never be one — because I’m not one.

Question 1
LeetCode medium and basic system design — nothing beyond the usual Bloomberg-filtered LeetCode.

Interview
