I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bloomberg in Oct 2012
Interview
Applied through the school's website and got called for a screening phone interview. On the day, the interview person called and asked basic questions as others have posted before: tell me a bit about yourself and why Bloomberg, why sales, what assures that you'll do successfully in sales. Make sure you research the company and be able to answer very clearly and convincingly like bullet points these questions (specifically stressing the sales aspect of the position).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
None of the questions were difficult. The interviewer just was not convinced by my reasoning.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg in Jul 2012
Interview
I knew of the opportunity at Blooberg in Singapore through an information session at the Bloomberg office. The info session at the Bloomberg office is quite thorough. They not only showed us their entire office but also gave us a quick preview of the Terminal usage.
After submitting a simple online app (just CV and cover letter basically), I was invited for a phone interview. It was a quick one with HR, basically covered: Why Bloomberg, why financial analytics & sales and what you could bring to the company/this function.
Other questions included: what is a credit default swap? what is your career goal?
