I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Singapur) in Dec 2010
Interview
Application for the position of Financial Sales and Analytics was done through Bloomberg's official website, and I received via e-mail, to attend a group interview session about 2.5 months after submission of my job application. The e-mail came around 3-4 days prior to the scheduled interview.
The entire interviewing process includes 4 rounds, with the first being the group interview whereby a group of applicants would be asked to individually step up onto a stage to describe themselves in 2 minutes; questions that needed answering were 1. Why did you choose Bloomberg 2. Why did you choose this specific position and 3. What can you offer Bloomberg. After everyone had given their 2 minute speech, applicants were spit up into 4 groups to discuss and provide solutions in the form of a short presentation for a case question provided.

If the Equity Fund Manager has already his own subscription for a financial service provider, how can you convince him to consider also Bloomberg's services.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bloomberg (London, England) in Jan 2010
Interview
I applied online and was contacted within a few days for a preliminary phone interview with the London office. I was contacted at the time that they had specified in the email and the questions were very basic....please walk me through your resume.,..etc. I would say that they are mostly looking for proof that you know all about the company, including their client base, their top competitors and what differentiates them. they also asked why i was interested in a position at Bloomberg and what made me a good fit for this position. The difficulty in the interview was that there was absolutely no feedback from the interviewer. She was very kind, but made no comments on any of my answers which made it less of a conversation and more a fill-in-the blank type experience. at the end of the interview, she told me that she would let me know the outcome of my interview within the next couple of days. I interviewed this morning and my fingers are crossed.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (London, England) in May 2010
Interview
An in-house event is the whole day including the interview, its the first interview stage including a short presentation, a look around the building, shadowing an existing member of the department and then the interview. Although this was in London so things may differ in NY
