I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Jul 2016
Interview
Lengthy and detailed with multiple levels of management. The questions also include some that sound like they're intended to know whether or not you know about the company and its history, not just applying because you see it as a stepping stone to somewhere else.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A version of: You're not experienced enough, why should we hire you? This is almost always used for entry level applicants from what other people have said. There were others that were more specifically about the markets and different financial products.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY)
Interview
I was interviewed by my immediate boss and one other person. I'd say there was less attention to my background than stories I've written which is good, I guess.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Bloomberg (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2014
Interview
Phone conversation with hiring editor. Was more general than anything than specific beat that had been advertised or offered. I viewed it more as a fact finding mission than going for a job.

Question 1
Just more on background. They are interested in beating any competitors. You need to know about the Bloomberg Way.
