I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in May 2022
Interview
Initial phone, hour long leetcode session, and then the final round with 2 leetcode, 1 sys design, 1 HR round. Another round of talking to a senior engineer about a project of choice on my resume.

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg
Interview
The worst interview experience I’ve ever gone through. One interviewer was great - very friendly, communicated well, asked me good questions and worked with me through the technical problem. The other interviewer was awful. Refused to let me code my solution unless I did it exactly how he wanted, constantly talked over me, and nitpicked every bit of my approach even if it didn’t have any relevance to the problem at hand. On top of that he was condescending throughout the entire interview.
I’ve interviewed with many companies ranging from Big Tech to small startups and I’ve never had such a terrible interview experience. You would think a big company like Bloomberg would vet their interviewers and not put such a terrible interviewer in a position to represent their company.
The interview process shouldn’t be so subjective such that the outcome of the interview depends on whether or not your interviewer was having a bad day.
Awful experience and will not be applying here in the future.
one phone technical interview and two video technical interviews, first one asked two technical questions, each used 20 mins around. the second one is a video interview and uses around 2 hours and 45 mins. i didn't make it pass second round.
